New Festivals and Performances

A retrospective of Studio 4 Istanbul short films directed by Deniz Buga and featuring Fatih Gençkal and Onur Karaoğlu will be on the Rainbow section of International Istanbul Independent Film Festival, !fIstanbul. This 75 minute compilation will be featuring the following short film works of Studio 4 Istanbul produced between 2003-2008: Brothers, Sleep, Big Apple, Incomplete Stories of New York, Por El, Wednesdays and Grasshoppers (Camera: Ali Betil). !fIstanbul takes place in February, 2009 in Istanbul.
Wednesdays has received Special Mention from 56th International San Sebastian Film Festival. The film was in the short film competition of 7th International Film School Meeting.

Uncle Vanya and The Emperor Jones, directed by Studio 4 Istanbul’s performance director Onur Karaoglu and featuring Fatih Gençkal were performed in October and November respectively at Schapiro Theatre in New York City as a part of Columbia University School of the Arts’ Schapiro Series.
